On the 4th Sunday of Advent, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Joji Hattori, invites its audience into a festive soundscape that captures the many facets of the Advent season.

Together with the Janoska Ensemble, the program reflects the magic of Christmas while also highlighting the diversity of the seasons.

Franz Liszt's The Christmas Tree and Richard Wagner's Siegfried Idyll embody contemplation and intimate moments that hold a special place during Advent. Antonio Vivaldi's Summer and Winter from The Four Seasons are juxtaposed, creating a striking focus on the contrasts and connections in the music—from the vitality of summer to the tranquility of winter.

The overture from Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus adds a lively accent that complements the festive mood.
